GLWD-3 may serve as an estimate of wetland extents for global hydrology and climatology models, or to identify large-scale wetland distributions and important wetland complexes.</SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Source: Lehner, B., and P.
